About the Program
The Undergraduate Immersion Program, which began with 2017's Machinal, is designed to open doors and provide invaluable connections and experience for undergraduate theater students, while deepening the Greenhouse's relationship with higher education institutions.
For at least one production per season, the Greenhouse creations a production partnership with a specific college or university, and places that institution's students as understudies, assistant designers, assistant directors, assistant stage managers and assistant production staff on a mainstage equity show. These students, in turn, are immersed in every aspect of the production process of a professional theater, attending production meetings, rehearsals, and performances, treated as colleagues by industry veterans.
