Is there late seating?

This depends! Some shows do allow late seating while others strictly do not. We always advise patrons to arrive early to accommodate for pubic transit delays and to find parking.

All in all, the best rule of thumb for theater is NO LATE SEATING.

Question 2

What is the bag policy at Greenhouse?

Accepted Answer

Guests may bring small bags that fit comfortably under your seat. Any oversized bags, backpacks, or luggage will not be allowed in the theater. Coat and bag check facilities are not available.

Question 3

I'm calling but the phone keeps ringing. Is anyone there?

Accepted Answer

Maybe! With shows running all the time, sometimes the box office can get a little backed up. We might be talking to another patron or in the middle of a Will Call. In any case, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Question 4

Can I switch my tickets to a different show?

Yes! We can move your ticket to a different date/time. There is a $5 exchange fee that will need to be processed over the phone. Please call the box office at 773-404-7336 and have your card ready for payment.

Why are there processing fees?

Accepted Answer

The Greenhouse is a rental theater space, meaning that we aren't the ones necessarily producing the show that you are seeing. While the price of your ticket goes to the actors, directors, and producers of the play you are seeing, the fees go to keeping the lights on and paying for your friendly Greenhouse Theater Center staff to be here.

Do you validate parking?

We do validate for the garage at 2316 N Lincoln. Ask the Box Office for the sticker validation which brings the price to $8 for 4 hours or $12 for up to 12 hours.

Is your theater accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes! All of our spaces are accessible and our second floor can be reached via stairs or elevator.
 
Please call us to reserve floor level seating or write us a note in your online purchase. We'll reserve easily accessible seats for you and your party.
 
While the Greenhouse doesn't offer special accommodations for folks who have visual or hearing impairment, some of our renters will host touch tours or provide audio descriptions. Those dates will be noted on their individual show page, but please call us for more info.

Question 8

Do I have to set up an account to purchase tickets online?

Accepted Answer

No. We only require an email address. After that, you have the option to create an account in order to view your previous purchases and update your settings.

Question 9

Do you serve alcohol? Are you BYOB? Can I bring in food?

Accepted Answer

We have a limited bar, where you are able to purchase wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, which can be taken into any of our five theaters. 
 
We are not a BYOB venue. No outside drinks or snacks allowed past entrance.
